Your New Role
WBD Sports is home to the premier sports IP and content. We excel in connecting audiences to the greatest sporting events in the world - including domestic properties such as the NBA on TNT, NHL on TNT, NBA TV, MLB on TBS, The Match, US Soccer Men's & Women's National Teams, Bleacher Report, and more. As the WBD Sports Ad Sales Marketing intern, this position will assist in business development processes to drive revenue in the form of traditional and non-traditional media for WBD Sports. This position will work as a liaison between the sales organization and WBD Sports Production. The Ad Sales Marketing intern will assist in development and monetization of best-in-class brand partnership solutions, bringing client marketing campaigns to life across our suite of sports properties - both on-air and digitally. WBD Sports is THE destination for live sports programming and is committed to lifting storytelling and personalities across the entire WBD portfolio of brands and properties.
Your Role Accountabilities
Duties could include:
-Assist in development of go-to-market sales materials for WBD Sports Tentpole Properties (i.e. NBA Tip-Off, NHL Opening Week, MLB Playoffs)
-Support sales in response to client RFPs through creative ideation process
-Gain an understanding of WBD Sports ecosystem (linear, digital, social) and creating value proposition for partners in the marketplace
-Complete competitive tracking analysis of sport broadcast space to identify key growth business opportunities across linear and digital properties
-Aggregate pertinent research, data and insights to inform WBD Sports sales positioning across properties.
-Develop presentation and communication skills with an eye towards business development, activation, sales, and insights
-Make new contacts and have fun in sports!
Qualifications & Experience
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to interact efficiently and professionally with internal stakeholders
- Ability to meet deadlines in a collaborative, dynamic environment with attention to detail
- A proactive mindset as a self-starter to seek-out new projects/avenues for potential business development
- An eagerness to learn more about the partnership marketing + sports media space
- Presentation design and organizational skills (PowerPoint, Excel)
- Prior internship experience in sports media, advertising, or marketing fields
Basic understanding of Ad Sales + Sport Media Landscape - Must be actively enrolled in an accredited college or university degree program for the full duration of the internship (proof of enrollment required)
- Must be a rising Junior, Senior or Graduate Student (18 years or older)
- Must be in academic good standing (3.0 or above GPA)
- Warner Bros. Discovery will only consider candidates who are presently authorized to work for any employer in the United States and who will not require work visa sponsorship from Warner Bros. Discovery now or in the future in order to retain their authorization to work in the United States.

- Interns will be expected to work 35-40 hours per week in a hybrid capacity.
- Our internships are paid opportunities with a competitive hourly wage. Credit is not required; however, we will provide the necessary documentation for school credit if desired. Relocation is not provided.
- Interviewing will take place from February through mid-April. A WBD team member will contact you if your experiences and interests match an open internship position. Due to the high volume of applications, we are unable to give individual status updates.

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The rate listed is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery's total compensation package for employees. Pay Rate: $19 per hour USD for undergrad interns, $25 per hour USD for graduate level interns.
