JOB DESCRIPTION:
Speech Language Pathologist makes assessments and provides appropriate services to help residents and patients improve and/or regain skills as part of a comprehensive therapy regimen. This position is required to float between our 5 WNY facilities.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Make assessments
- Provide appropriate services to improve and/or regain skills
- Follow a comprehensive therapy regimen
- Problem Solving
- Work with an interdisciplinary team
- Implementing a proactive plan of care to maintain the highest level of functioning
REQUIREMENTS:
Position requires a master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology with Certificate of Clinical Competence and current NYS license
Experience in skilled nursing facility, subacute care, ICU and acute rehab preferred
Excellent customer service skills; cheerful and pleasant demeanor
Positive attitude and outgoing personality with staff, residents and family members
Self-motivated with flawless time and attendance
Exceptional time management skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Respect for residents’ privacy and rights; display of genuine concern and empathy for the elderly
