Compensation
Mount Sinai South Nassau provides a salary range in good faith determination of potential compensation to comply with the New York State law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
The Speech Therapist is responsible for providing timely, caring, appropriate and skilled speech and language therapy intervention by evaluating/assessing, planning, goal setting, providing treatment and assessing the patient’s response to treatment for patient’s of all ages. The Speech Therapist, working as a member of the interdisciplinary team collaborates and coordinates treatment plan and goals with other disciplines including Physicians, Nurses, et al.
Education Required
- Must complete in-house orientation program
- Graduate of an accredited college degree program in Speech Therapy.
- Master’s Degree (entry level).
Experience And Skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Speaks, reads and writes English
- Minimum 2 years experience as a Speech Therapist.
License/Certifications
- New York State license in Speech Therapy
Working Conditions
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) worn
- Prolonged standing and walking.
- Moving in multiple positions (sitting, squatting, reaching);
- Ability to bend, reach and retrieve files and equipment stored in cabinets.
