We are seeking a part-time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our therapy team in Virgina Beach. We have a dynamic multi-disciplinary team consisting of pediatric speech, occupational and physical therapists in the outpatient and early intervention settings. We offer outpatient services in the City of Virginia Beach as well as early intervention services throughout the Hampton Roads area. We see a multitude of pediatric patients with diagnoses ranging from developmental delay, torticollis, cerebral palsy, genetic disorders, autism spectrum disorders, post-surgical pediatric clients, etc. We must have some pediatric experience for this position (clinical rotation experience counts).
Schedule: We are seeking 24 hours/week to start, there is the ability to grow into full-time if desired.
Compensation: Hourly rate commensurate with experience
- Evaluate assigned patients and establish appropriate treatment goals and treatment programs
- Provides ongoing evaluation of patient’s status and goals
- Develops comprehensive goals for patient treatment to maximize outcomes
- Coordinates treatment program in conjunction with other clinical/therapeutic services
- Attends appropriate clinical meetings to facilitate coordination
- To provide quality patient care while maintaining a positive level of interaction with facilities and clients
- Meet American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA) minimum standards for initiation Clinical Fellowship Year including but not limited to 36 credit hours in prescribed study.
- State licensure/registration where appropriate.ASHA certification is required.
- 300 hours in prescribed clinical practicum experience required.
