Roles and Responsibilities:
Job Summary/Overview:
SAS Specialty GasProject Manager responsible for code compliance and safety for new construction, remodel construction, and evaluation of existing facilities as it pertains to Fab and Fab support sustaining operations.
Manage construction general contractor activities related to new and retrofit projects.
Manage equipment and system handover plan to customer and project closeout.
Specific Job Duties:
Lead strategic fab and support project planning for Specialty Gas systems including review and approval of all first of the kind process tool gas requirements and finding critical path solutions for code and regulatory concerns with those materials.
Review and approve SAS site construction and tool hookup specifications related to gas piping, equipment and the associated distribution rooms and buildings.
Support technical design teams for review and approval of gas connections and materials of construction.
Interface with site operations and EHS teams to audit that existing piping, equipment, and secondary containment meets applicable codes and standards.
Interface between Construction General Contractor, Subcontractor, Consultant Design Team and various SAS Owner organizations.
Proactively support and respond to submittals, RFIs, NCRs, SWNs and other such related requests pertaining to Specialty Gas system construction
Identify, track, manage, resolve and communicate project issues during construction including documenting Site Observation Reports and managing applicable construction punch list to resolution.
Proactively identify, manage, and mitigate project risk points for safety and code compliance
Perform regular field observation inspections to verify existing conditions of previously installed ductwork, piping, and equipment, and that safety and code standards are met.
Manage stakeholders in a customer-service oriented team.
The candidate must demonstrate strong leadership skills required to interface with stakeholders across SAS Facilities, Manufacturing, and Engineering organizations
The candidate must be able and willing to interface with design consultants to meet the aggressive goals and timelines during all aspects of the project.

Skills and Qualifications:
Education, Training, Certification(s) and Minimum years of experience required
Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Science or Management, Engineering or related field.
Years of field experience may substitute for degree.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Software, and Tools
Required:
Working knowledge of IBC, IFC, NFPA and other codes and standards applicable to Specialty Gas system design and construction.
Experience managing and leading projects including design, specification, and construction.
Ability to read and understand design plans, shop drawings, and equipment specifications.
Familiarity with design and installation of facility equipment, or design and construction of industrial buildings.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills including presentation skills are required for communication of technical information to diverse audiences.
Aptitude for documentation and data analysis using MS Office programs.
Ability to learn custom and internally developed software programs and to interface with programmers to develop and manage code compliance databases.
Reliable and punctual attendance is required.
Ability to work overtime / on non-scheduled days as required.
