EMC - Eden Medical CenterPosition Overview:
Responsible for all activities of day-to-day operation of receiving and distribution activities to ensure accurate perpetual inventories and product disbursement. Performs various tasks required to maintain accurate inventory control database files; monitoring stock reorder point levels to prevent excess or insufficient amounts; and recommends improvement to inventory control system and procedures. Performs related office duties such as posting information to records and answering telephones, purchasing standard supplies and performing routine bookkeeping functions. Performs duties related to the daily operation of the hospital mail room.Job Description:
- Responsible for ensuring adequate supplies and materials are readily on hand for floor stock. Bringing boxes down from top shelf and replenishing stock on shelf for easy retrieval.
- Responsible for shipping and receiving parcels from various shipping companies and processes and files all paperwork associated with this for easy retrieval in case of discrepancies.
- Ensures outdated or unwanted items are removed from inventory. Works with the Manager to update the system to correct system count problems as they are identified.
- Participates in the taking of annual physical inventory and cycle amounts.
- Keep warehouse a clean and safe environment, making sure shelves are not stacked overhead too high. Break down empty boxes as needed.
- Maintains departmental requisition files, filing of receivers and other related records, retrieving records requested to assist in resolving invoice discrepancies and related problems.
- Retrieve messages from warehouse voicemail and respond in a timely manner to all requests or forward message to appropriate person to respond.
- Inputs, processes and receives stock and stock-less requirements each day. Make sure packing slip corresponds with P.O. for accurate Accounting process. Expedites delivery of overnight, time sensitive material.
- Receives, sorts and processing mail from the U.S. Post Office. Pulls in-house mail to physicians and delivery’s to on campus offices. Processes mass mailers as required by P.R./Marketing.
- Pulls stock orders for all departments on a routine scheduled basis. Expedites delivery of ordered materials and supplies to various departments.
- Supplies all in-house copiers with paper on a weekly basis and charges out accordingly. Keeps record of copy machine counts for all machines in house on a regular basis and report to leasing company.
- Utilizes computer system to obtain receiving information as needed and to reports any discrepancies to Purchasing staff.

EDUCATION
- Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.
- HS Diploma: High School Diploma or General Education (GED) or equivalent education/experience
- OR Other: Classes in or knowledge of medical terminology or equivalent education/experience
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE
- DL-Valid California Drivers Class C
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AS TYPICALLY ACQUIRED IN:
- Three years experience in a health care environment or related health care setting is desired.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- Written and oral communications skills.
- Ability to read and interpret documents of moderate difficulty. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Working knowledge of computerized inventory, information management system or related experience with spreadsheet applications, word processing and database programs preferred.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instruction furnished in written, oral or diagram format.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

Pay Range is $29.67 to $37.55 / hourThe salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled.
