JOB PURPOSE
Supports the Regions, Markets and the Corporate Brand Strategy Division team in the development, creation and roll-out of global social marketing strategies, tools, campaigns, best practices, trend tracking, program analytics/reporting, and Social listening. Stays current with the Social Media and digital landscape to educate the organization on tactics to help Mary Kay and the Independent Sales Force win in social. Understands how to align Social Media marketing to digital and content strategies. Responsible for content creation and community management for TikTok and emerging channels. Works with region and market teams to ensure Marketing and Social Media opportunities are fully leveraged, grounded in insights, and positioned to help the Independent Beauty Consultants grow their businesses.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Responsible for communication and deployment of global social marketing strategies, tools, tactics, and education. Influences how social strategies will be used across the company to innovate and create a competitive advantage for the Independent Sales Force. Leads vendor partnership, user administration, education, and usage reporting for global Social Media & influencer tools, driving utilization by regions and markets for ROI. Captures feedback, strengthens engagement, and helps markets reach their social marketing goals.
• TikTok creator and community manager. Creates and publishes engaging TikTokvideos that capture the brand voice and excites and builds community. Responds in the community acting as a brand across social platforms. Builds a community with fans, potential fans, and creators that align with our brand voice. Community moderation ensuring positive sentiment and escalating any major moments involving brand image.
• Works with Social Media manager and creative team to create content that aligns with marketing strategies, product launches, and key campaigns.
• Conducts analysis and provides insights rooted in data to guide regions, markets, and corporate teams to help Mary Kay reach business goals and improve the performance of marketing campaigns. Captures feedback, strengthens engagement, and helps markets reach their social marketing goals. Delivers reporting templates to help regions and markets set goals and gauge effectiveness of their social marketing programs.
• Monitors and analyzes competitive, digital and industry news to continuously improve Social Media marketing. Leads social listening and trend tracking to help Mary Kay optimize content development and planning.
• This job requires on-site work at a Mary Kay facility.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Education - Bachelor/University Degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, Online/Social Media Marketing. Master's degree preferred.
Experience - 3+ years of experience in Social Media and community management in a corporate or agency environment.
• The ideal candidate will bring Integrated Marketing experience with an expertise in Social Media and working in a corporate environment.
• Ability to create TikTok content and Social Media education that keeps up with the latest trends and a full range of execution from filming to copywriting. Enthusiastic on-screen personality with the ability to engage and excite audiences while building community.
• Best practice knowledge of Social Media platforms including but not limited to Instagram, TikTok, and emerging platforms.
• Demonstrates proficiency in global marketing, PR, Social Media, promotions, and advertising ideation, as well as basic program management skills.
• Must be able to support development of brand experiences from a consumer and Independent Sales Force point of view. This requires an understanding of the Mary Kay products, beauty industry and Independent Beauty Consultant needs to be acquired.
• Must be creative, solution-focused, and willing to work with others to identify fresh ideas.
• Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills and is comfortable presenting in front of large audiences.
• Ability to deal with ambiguity and rapidly changing priorities.
• Must be a Brand Ambassador for the Mary Kay Brand and ensure all tactics adhere to Branding guidelines and global Social Media strategy.
