THIS POSITION IS FOR 1st SHIFT EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Exhibit high awareness for Safety and Quality. Follow EHS procedures thoroughly.
- Knowledge of proper waste disposal and removal.
- Has good attitude, participation, and scores for the Labs C.O.P.S program.
- Use SAP to retrieve MSDS, Shipping labels
- Enter Recipes accurately in RMWB and Submit to the ADS
- Read Panels on colorimeters (Minolta, X-Rite) and Set up a master.
- Access and use other menus in SAP (CG54, RMWB. MMBE)
- Spray panels with accurate film builds and quality appearance.
- Well Versed on all spraymation machines. Pull up scripts and edit when applicable. Identify characteristics of spray defects (wet, dry, mottle).
- Run basic QC testing on wet samples (NVM, Resistivity, Visc)
- Perform testing on panels. (Gloss, Film Build)
- Evaluate paint for potential issues by performing PD driven tasks.
- Make basic color suggestions on existing formulations.
- Understand the effects of micas, aluminums, dispersions and additives have on the paint.
- Utilize the Macbeth and other light sources to assist in Color Shading
- Use wet shading to predict color shifts and avoid Sprayouts.
- Exhibit a strong work ethic to achieve highest productivity and quality, working overtime if required.
- Maintains good attendance and punctuality. Uses Break time efficiently
- Team player who is willing to assist others when needed.
- Perform all other requests from the supervisor needed to accomplish desired goals.
- Move waste from generation point to 90-day Storage Area
- Properly close and label waste containers using NB Coatings procedures
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND/OR CERTIFICATION
- High school diploma required.
- Prior Color Shading experience is a benefit.
- Ability and desire to learn and improve.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs, to work with isocyanates, and pass color test.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both in oral and written form
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to inquiries, and/or complaints
- Displays courtesy, tact and respect when dealing with others.

- Ability to meet strict deadlines
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to wear a respirator/all necessary PPE - including being clean shaven for respirator use
- Ability to work with isocyanate
- Establishes and maintains effective working relationships; demonstrates a commitment to teamwork
- Maintains a strong attention to detail
- Manufacturing industry experience preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Ability to work any shift hours and overtime in order to meet the needs of the business.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, and talk or hear. The employee must be able to frequently lift and or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distant vision, the ability to focus, and the ability to see color.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Employee experiences constant interruptions and inflexible deadlines. The noise-level in this environment is moderate to loud. Duties are performed mostly indoors and at times outdoors. Out-of-town travel required as necessary for training and/or to carry out duties and responsibilities.
