Special Education Teaching Position Temporary/Maternity Leave

Metro North Elementary School and MSD of Wabash County seeks qualified candidates for a temporary Special Education Teaching Position (temporary) working with our preschool through grade 2 students.

Dates: Beginning approximately January 31, 2024 - May 24, 2024

Job Requirements:

• Fostering a safe, positive and healthy learning environment
• Engaging actively with children
• Creating, planning, and leading developmentally appropriate activities for children in preschool through grade 2 aligned with the Indiana Academic Standards
• Supporting students with Individualized Education Plans
• Collaborating with staff and administration to plan and implement developmentally appropriate programming
• Conducting student assessments to inform instruction
• Communicating with parents and staff
• Preparing and updating Individualized Education Plans
• Participating in case conferences with the classroom teacher, principal and therapists
