We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team for the 2023-24 school year in High Point, North Carolina.
Job Description:
As a Special Education Teacher at ProCare Therapy, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of students with diverse learning needs. You will work collaboratively with other educators and support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs), provide specialized instruction, and create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
- Provide direct instruction and support to students with a range of disabilities.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to ensure the inclusion and success of students with special needs.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as necessary.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and progress.
- Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and other stakeholders regarding student development and goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field.
- North Carolina Special Education Teaching Certification (or eligibility).
- Previous experience working with students with disabilities preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
