QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must possess a valid Michigan teaching certificate - Elementary K-5 all subjects (K-8 All Subjects Self Contained Classroom).
- Must meet state requirements in area of certification with K-12 endorsement in: Emotional Impairment (SE) or Learning Disability (SM) or Cognitive Impairment (SA)
- Willing to consider applicants with a Bachelor's degree in another field who are enrolled in a Special Education certification program.
- Demonstration of a Strong Knowledge of Subject Area Being Taught
- Planning for and Delivery of Rigorous Content
- Checking for and Building of Higher-Level Understanding in Students
- Recognition of the Diverse Needs Among Students and Commitment to Differentiation in Instructional Approach, In Order to Meet the Needs of All Students
- Maintenance of Exceptional Classroom Management
- Efficient and Effective Use of Instructional Time
- Solicitation of High Student Engagement
