RESPONSIBLE TO:
Building Principal/Supervisor of Special Services
DUTIES:
- Under the direction of the classroom teacher, must supervise the arrival/dismissal of the students in his/her class at designated drop-off/pick-up
- Must assist students with inclement weather clothing, as necessary and
- Must assist in the organization/distribution/clean-up procedure of food for breakfast, snack and lunch.
- Must assist in toilet/lavatory activities, including lavatory assistance, potty training and/or diaper changing.
- Must accompany students to recreational/lunch activities in the classroom/lunch room or any other designated place.
- Must accompany students to alternate locations within the building. special subject area
- Must assist students with assigned individual and small group work under the direction of the classroom
- Assist in preparing instructional materials, preparing bulletin boards and assist in scoring/checking student's completed work.
- Receive district provided restraint training and implement as appropriate.
- Assist with taking data as directed and overseen by teacher and/or Child Study Team.

- Demonstrate understanding/sensitivity to the needs of handicapped
- Maintain a professional attitude and respect the confidentiality of all information and activities related to students in the
- Demonstrate the willingness to comply with school
- Demonstrate the ability to facilitate the use of instructional materials in the
- Understand and use the appropriate channel of communication for comments/suggestions
- Demonstrate proficiency and command of the English Language in reading, writing, and speaking.
- References required to determine proof of good moral
- Health examination required.
