Spanish Teacher (Part-Time)

The School for Young Performers is looking to hire a part-time Spanish teacher for the remainder of the 2023-2024 school year. The Spanish educator will work with a high school student in/near Pacific Palisades two to three times a week . Sessions will be in a 1 to 1.5 hr blocks, meaning a total of 3 to 4 hrs/instruction per week in-person. Please do not apply if you are more than a 45-min drive to Pacific Palisades, CA.

Ideal candidates must have the following:

- A MINIMUM of 3 years experience teaching Spanish to grades 8-12.

-Complete fluency in Spanish (can teach Spanish I-Spanish IV, preferably to AP but not required)

-Conscientious, patient, compassionate, flexible and professional

-Current teaching certification (preferred by not required)

-Experience working 1-on-1, small group classes or in homeschool constructs

- Available Tuesday and Thursday afternoons plus sometimes an extra day (somewhat flexible)

- Have a personal computer with email/MS Office AND a cell phone with access to email

- Be a United States citizen with proper U.S. government documentation OR have a valid green card with permission to work in the U.S.
