Postpartum Support International (PSI) is looking for a bilingual (Spanish/English) Content Specialist who can support the communication and promotion of Spanish language programs to our Spanish-speaking audiences. In this role, you will be working collaboratively within our Marketing and Communications Department, as well as with other internal groups, including our Spanish support programs. Our Spanish support programs have experienced high growth over the last 2 years, and we expect continued growth this year.
Postpartum Support International (PSI) works to promote awareness, prevention and treatment of mental health issues related to childbearing worldwide. PSI supports families, provides expert trainings to providers, and creates a bridge between families and informed resources. PSI disseminates information and resources through its volunteers, website, trainings, chapters, and annual conference. PSI board and staff are a team of dedicated and passionate individuals who are committed to alleviating distress and improving outcomes for pregnant and postpartum families. PSI headquarters is in Portland Oregon, but the position is entirely remote.
PSI staff and volunteers collaborate virtually in the United States and internationally, and the successful candidate will be able to work independently and participate in timely communication with other team members. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1-3 years of experience coordinating, managing, and implementing similar efforts as required by this position.
Job Type: Part-time, 15-20 hrs/week, virtual
Contract: W2 for those in the US; contract available outside of the US
Responsibilities
- Work to develop and implement a marketing and communications strategy for PSI Spanish Language peer support programs focused on Perinatal Mental Health help seekers and support professionals
- Create engaging content for various channels, including social media, web, video and written content (blog, newsletter, etc)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between PSI Marketing and communications, PSI Spanish language programs and our Perinatal Mental Health Alliance for People of Color (PMHA-POC)/La Alianza program
- Review and coordinate wordpress website update requests that come in from staff and other stakeholders for postpartum.net to support Spanish language programs
Qualifications
- Understanding of content marketing strategies and best practices
- Creative thinker who has the ability to innovate to support a high-growth program
- Excellent copywriting skills to create compelling marketing content
- Experience in the area of Perinatal Mental Health and/or nonprofit organizations is a plus
Requirements
- Must be detail-oriented and be able to work with a fully remote team of multi-disciplinary professionals
- English/Spanish Bilingual, including written communications
- Being able to work in a remote environment, be self-driven and time management skills are requirements
- Use of Google Mail, Google Office products, and Zoom required. Experience with Canva and wordpress is a plus
- Design skills a plus (we use Canva)
