In addition you will:
- Chair Project Parts Control Board (PCB) meetings, review parts lists for compliance with NASA GSFC and Projectspecific quality and reliability requirements, and participate in Failure Review Board meetings.
- Develop/review screening, lot acceptance testing, and destructive physical analysis results and provide concise synopses for lot disposition.
- Provide for planning of technical and financial support to Branch and Project management. Support of subcontract project team members may require domestic and international travel (less than 10%).
MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, AND /OR SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- HS Diploma and 1 to 3 years of experience in cable assembly, soldering, aerospace flight and ground support equipment, and fabrication or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- An understanding of space environment effects on packaged electrical/electronic systems (materials, radiation, and thermal) is preferred.
- Familiarity with selection and handling of electronic parts, connectors and cabling.
- Candidate will be responsible for assembly, troubleshooting and testing printed wire assemblies , electronic subsystems and systems.
- Demonstrated experience with and application of troubleshooting and testing ofmicrocircuits, printed wire assembly and electrical and electronic hybrid circuits and systems. Able to work in a team environment.
- MUST BE US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
- Demonstrated understanding of the differences between military, space and commercial part specifications, manufacturing, testing and flight applications.
- Must have strong initiative and problem solving skills with the ability to make oral and written arguments.
- Ability to work independently and as a member of an integrated project team with limited supervision.
- Excellent Verbal and Written Communication skills.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
