As a Lead Screen Printing Press Operator, you make the 4imprint brand come alive by providing customers high quality screen printed garments produced in a manufacturing environment.
Here’s what a typical day might look like. Other duties may be assigned.
- Demonstrate the eight core principles that guide every 4imprint teammate on a daily basis: Honesty, Curiosity, Collaboration, Flexibility, Accountability, Empathy, Positive Attitude, Humility.
- Set up and operate a screen printing press to customize garments with customer supplied designs.
- Ensure accuracy on each order.
- Prioritize order completion based on the due date and execute screen printing tasks including reviewing work orders, machine setup, and dual department orders.
- Inspect print quality and graphic placement to ensure high-quality, accurate prints.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Comply with safety procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Seek continuous improvement to help define parameters, maximize print quality, and reduce consumables.
- Keep an organized workflow for smooth and consistent output.
- Participate in training classes and actively seek professional development.
- Help out in other areas when needed and when time allows.
Responsibilities as a Team Lead:
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to help all shifts.
- Assist in training others in screen printing standards and processes.
- Help establish controls and measures for repeatable, predictable product quality.
- Participate in beginning / end of shift meetings with the production team. Focuses on teamwork and uniting all shifts.
- Communicate across departments to ensure accuracy of art changes.
- Stay current with shipping procedures and help to keep other screen printing associates current with shipping best practices.
- Manage computer files and project statuses as necessary in order management software.
- Provide new hires with feedback that reinforces key training points to confirm new learners are understanding job related training.

Required education/skills/experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Experience working in a fast-paced production environment.
- Prior experience operating an automatic screen-printing press is required.
- Ability to adapt to a swiftly changing work environment.
- Detail oriented with a professional attitude.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Prior leadership/coaching experience is a plus.

- Ability to operate machinery with pinch/cut points, heat/thermal, and involving chemicals.
- Work will be performed indoors in an environment that is exposed to occasional high temperatures, humidity, dust, and noise.
- Work will be performed at 4imprint, Appleton.
