Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef in managing the kitchen and overseeing daily operations
- Prepare and cook high-quality meals according to recipes and standards
- Ensure food safety and sanitation practices are followed at all times
- Manage inventory and order supplies as needed
- Train and supervise kitchen staff, including assigning tasks and monitoring performance
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and specials
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Assist with menu planning, costing, and budgeting
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Strong knowledge of kitchen management, food handling, and shift management
- Excellent culinary skills with a passion for creating delicious dishes
- Knowledge of hospitality industry standards and practices
- Familiarity with food industry regulations and compliance
- Experience in catering, restaurant management, banquet services, or dietary departments is a plus
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
