The Collaboration Virtual Sales Specialists (VSS) is responsible for driving and growing our our industry leading Cisco Cloud Collaboration portfolio within an assigned territory in the Southeastern US. In this position, you will cultivate, support, and manage sales opportunities and customer relationships while leveraging our very own cutting-edge collaboration solutions to remotely connect with customers, technical/extended resources, and Cisco Value Added Resale partners (VARs).

We are a hardworking, competitive, results-oriented, fast-paced sales team; skilled at advancing deals through complex sales cycles in collaboration with account teams, sales engineers, customer success, and Cisco Value Added Resale partners. Success will be dependent not only on the capability to sell but also on the relationships developed with all involved in the business.

This is a high-energy position requiring an individual to be deeply motivated and self-driven; it will also require someone equally comfortable working in a strategic and tactical capacity independently and/or as a member of a team.

You Will:
  • Work in a highly dynamic, constantly evolving market on the cutting edge meeting the world's communication needs
  • Maintain, develop, and close diverse pipeline of opportunities while remaining highly competitive in the market space
  • Own the entire sales process from prospecting to close
  • Maintain accurate pipeline management with expert-level forecasting - weekly/monthly/quarterly
  • Work in a highly collaborative virtual environment with a team of Account Managers, Sales Engineers, Marketing, Channel Partners, Customer Success, etc. to drive revenue and contribute to continued YoY growth success metrics
  • Help to exceed customer expectations by identifying creative & impactful use cases that enable companies to transform their businesses with our full suite of collaboration products
  • Leverage salesforce to manage pipeline, activity, and customer interactions
  • Must be comfortable with change

You Have:
  • B2B solution based selling experience, ideally in SaaS/Software Sales but NOT required for candidates with highly transferrable skills
  • High motivation, competitive nature, tenacity, strong work ethic, creativity and drive
  • Highly effective communication skills, with the ability to organize and prioritize multiple methods of prospecting and sales communications: emails, phone calls, business messaging, social media, and more
  • The ability to quickly comprehend technical material and concepts and articulate them back in an easy-to-understand way
  • Experience owning the full sales cycle - prospecting, qualification, discovery, proving, close/win
  • Experience working in a fully virtual capacity (work from home)
  • Shown success in building new relationships, navigating complex sales scenarios, and overachieving against give quotas
  • Passion for sales and building positive relationships with customers and extended resources
  • The ability to tackle complex problems
  • A history of career progression and desire for professional development
  • Desire to contribute and thrive in a team environment
  • BS/BA or Experience Equivalent

For non-sales roles the hiring ranges reflect base salary only; employees are also eligible to receive annual bonuses. Hiring ranges for sales positions include base and incentive compensation target. Individual pay is determined by the candidate's hiring location and additional factors, including but not limited to skillset, experience, and relevant education, certifications, or training. Applicants may not be eligible for the full salary range based on their U.S. or Canada hiring location. U.S. employees have access to quality medical, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a Cisco matching contribution, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance and numerous wellbeing offerings. Employees receive up to twelve paid holidays per calendar year, which includes one floating holiday, plus a day off for their birthday. Employees accrue up to 20 days of Paid Time Off (PTO) each year and have access to paid time away to deal with critical or emergency issues without tapping into their PTO. We offer additional paid time to volunteer and give back to the community. Employees are also able to purchase company stock through our Employee Stock Purchase Program.
Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco pays at the standard rate of 1% of incentive target for each 1% revenue attainment against the quota up to 100%. Once performance exceeds 100% quota attainment, incentive rates may increase up to five times the standard rate with no cap on incentive compensation. For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
