About the role
We are seeking an experienced Sourcing & Buying Category Manager with a strong background in food service and non-food buying to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for our non-food sourcing and buying, ensuring the development of high quality, cost-effective, and sustainable products for our food service and food manufacturing supply chain that allow our business to scale. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent sourcing, procurement and project management skills, and the ability to collaborate across departments to optimize our non-food manufacturing supply chain.
Strategy & execution
- Lead the strategy on the sourcing of non-food items for our food manufacturing and food service operations.
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies to drive total cost of ownership.
Supplier Identification and management
- Identify and build relationships with suppliers.
- Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to ensure favorable agreements and
competitive pricing. - Manage relationships with key suppliers, addressing any issues and ensuring a
consistent and reliable supply chain.
Procurement
- Order, replenish and monitor inventory while controlling shrink and waste.
- Track shipments.
- Reconcile invoices.
Project Management:
- Lead projects from concept to implementation, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production and restaurant management teams to achieve project goals.
The experience you have
- Proven experience in non-food buying for restaurant and food manufacturing operations.
- Experience in negotiating contracts, managing supplier relationships, and
optimizing procurement processes. - Demonstrated ability to operate independently and ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment.
- Excellent project management and leadership skills.
- Deep analytical and data management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional
teams.

Base Salary: $120,750
