The Opportunity:
As the Associate Category Manager, you will be responsible for developing and managing the operations of a marketplace store for LG Electronics (LGE) North America. As a key member of a high performing team, you will also be part of the Sales and Product Team. You will focus on home appliances in the LG Online Brand Store (OBS), with the goal of becoming a general manager of an e-commerce business.
To be successful in this role, you will be detail oriented, a fast learner of e-commerce technologies and business. You will also be successful at identifying and growing initiatives that improve conversion and average order value, and creatively execute a strategy to achieve revenue goals. This includes overseeing key customer journey touchpoints, defining a promotional strategy, monitoring supply and fulfillment, and refining marketing messaging.
Additionally, you will work with cross-functional teams to solve complex business issues involving other fulfillment, inventory forecasting, marketing, website operations, and engineering. You will also be responsible for developing new team members into capable business managers.
Your Responsibilities:
• Oversee the day-to-day operations: product listings, fulfillment, promotions, merchandising maintenance, customer service, and reporting
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute promotions and merchandising programs
• Facilitate full product lifecycle management, including new product launches and product end of life
• Manage multi-product bundle offerings, discounting, and launch timing to align with new product launches and marketing support
• Audit website performance to allocate development resources for optimized customer experience
• Identify key metrics to verify hypothesis on customer behavior and operational efficiencies; communicate findings to stakeholders
• Work with training and content teams to have an effective understanding of LG's and competition products
• Establish and manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholders (Supply Chain Management, Fulfillment, E-Commerce business management, etc.)
Job Requirements:
• University degree with excellent academic record required
• Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills
• Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively both verbally and in writing
• Ability to work effectively with people at all levels in an organization
• Detail oriented with the ability to define, execute, and improve processes
• Curiosity about e-Commerce platforms and desire to own a P&L
