Sourcing Assistant

JOB SUMMARY

Are you ready to embark on a dynamic career journey in the heart of the fashion industry? We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Sourcing Assistant. In this crucial role, you will provide essential support to our Fabric Sourcing Team, playing a pivotal part in fabric development, lab dip approval, and maintaining our color standard library. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Fabric Development Expert: Dive into the world of fabric development, ensuring our materials meet the highest standards and align with industry trends.

  • Operational Maestro: Execute day-to-day responsibilities, including organization, filing, and data entry, ensuring seamless operations within the Sourcing Team.

  • Collaborative Partner: Foster effective partnerships by closely collaborating with Design, Technical Design, Merchandising, Quality Assurance, and Purchasing teams.

  • Color Consistency Guru: Review lab dips and fabric production headers from mills, ensuring color consistency, quality standards, and stretch expectations are exceeded.

  • Communication Specialist: Demonstrate attention to detail and timely communication by sending daily approval or rejection emails.

  • Technical Analyst: Utilize your technical skills to analyze raw materials, comparing them to internal color standards, pantone colors, and various lighting situations.

  • Conceptual Contributor: Play a key role in annual concept meetings, aligning fabric developments with the creative goals of our Design and Merchandising teams.

  • Relationship Builder: Manage relationships internally and externally, contributing to the success of our company and building lasting partnerships.

  • Deadline Dynamo: Assist in meeting color-related deadlines, providing valuable color comments to mills, and recording feedback in our internal tracking system.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Textile and Apparel Management or a related field.

  • Minimum of 1 year of professional experience in the textile or fashion industry, with a preference for color management or fabric development.

  • Strong understanding of textile and garment manufacturing processes.

  • Excellent organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and proficiency in computer skills, including Google Suite.

  • Strong work ethic, ability to work independently, multitask, and manage time effectively.

  • Flexibility and adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and collaborative team environment.
