Summary:
- This position performs a variety of ultrasound imaging procedures to provide data for diagnosis and monitoring of disease and injuries in accordance with all applicable standards, regulations, and licensing requirements. Requires competency in a variety of equipment and technology. Performs duties in a range of acute care pediatric-centered settings.
Qualifications:
Education Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited ultrasound program.
- Must have successfully completed radiology training from an AMA approved school of Ultrasonography.
- Must have and maintain a current valid certification of the following throughout employment:
- Must have and maintain a current unrestricted ARDMS or ARRT Sonography Certification,
- Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
- Minimum of 5 years of ultrasound experience.
- Previous pediatric experience.
ARDMS registered in at least four of the following:
- OB/GYN
- Abdomen
- Neuro
- Vascular
- Pediatrics
- Musculoskeletal
- Breast
- One of the four registries must be vascular
- Current BLS certification for Healthcare Provider from the American Heart Association.
