As our Cardiac Sonographer at Dignity Health Yavapai Regional Medical Center you will perform diagnostic testing to support our cardiac team in their efforts to properly diagnose and treat patients.
Every day you will perform various tests on patients with cardiovascular issues. You’ll apply your independent judgment relative to all technical imaging procedures for patients with heart failure, heart rhythm disorders, heart attack, and minimally invasive surgical procedures to major structural repairs.
To be successful in this role, you must have a solid knowledge of imaging equipment and proper patient positioning to produce and analyze quality electrocardiograms. You’ll continuously strive to deliver a positive experience to our patients and their caregivers.

- Produce ultrasonic images to evaluate hemodynamics of heart valves, chambers and vessels
- Ensure optimal imaging quality by performing quality checks on diagnostic equipment
- Attends class seminars on new developments in technical improvements in sonography
Minimum:
- High school diploma/GED required and completion of Echocardiography program
- Eligible to sit for CCI or ARDMS certification.
- Must obtain CCI Registered Cardiac Sonographer or ARDMS Adult Echocardiography certification within one year of position
- Pediatric Experience
- Completion of Echocardiogram program preferred
- ARDMS Ultrasound certification
- One (1) year experience as an echocardiography sonographer
