Job Responsibilities:
- Maintains a professional image and exhibits excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers in accordance with our Service Excellence Standards and Core Values.
- Meets the standards as required by the International Accreditation Commission. Will serve as the Quality Coordinator and will be responsible for the following:
- Performance of echocardiograms: reviews studies for ICAEL compliance and provides timely feedback to sonographers for quality and growth opportunities.
- General supervision of technical and ancillary staff
- Operation and maintenance of facility equipment
- Work with Medical Director, medical staff and technical staff to ensure quality patient care and technical training, and promote accreditation compliance.
- Collect and submit requirements to maintain Lab Accreditation.
- Provides quarterly educational topics/education/case studies for sonography across the inland sites
- Advises the needs for supplies cost and utilization, continuing education, Echo accreditation fees, equipment and personnel growth opportunities of the inland labs.
- Advises on workflow, processes, structural reporting, policies and protocols.
- Epic optimization with structural reporting, imaging, etc
- Responsible for quality oversight of sonography for McLeod Health.
- Responsible for the growth and performance of new hires and new graduates.
- Reviews workflow, processes, and performance opportunities to enhance efficiency and revenue.
- Seeks opportunities to promote the vision, goals and values of McLeod Health.
- All other duties and assignments as directed by leadership.
Qualifications/Training:
- 5 years of Echo experience
- Prior management experience preferred
- Process management experience preferred
- Ultrasound school completion with registry
Licenses/Certifications/Registrations/Education:
- Minimum of High School Diploma/GED from an accredited school
- Must document minimum of 15 hours of echocardiography-related CME over a period of three years. CME credits must be earned within the three-year period prior to application submission.
- Credential in echocardiography and registered in one of the following areas:
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonography (RDCS) from American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARMDS)
- Registered Cardiac Sonography (RCS) or Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonography (RCCS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
- Canadian Registered Cardiac Sonography (CRCS) Canadian Association of Registered Diagnostic Ultrasound Professionals (CARDUP)
- Basic Life Support Certification
