Boise Cascade in Chester is seeking a Plywood Quality Control Coordinator. In this role you would be responsible for Monitoring all phases of plywood production to ensure finished product meets quality specifications for strength, grade, finishing tolerances and appearance. You would Submit required paperwork and quality reports. Ensure the standardization of Quality Control measures. Maintain an environmental awareness and promotes safety practices according to company policy. Train hourly employees on Quality Control requirements. Assist in customer complaints and re-inspection. Will be responsible for Boise Improvement Cycle activities as assigned. Will also be assigned production supervisory responsibilities for vacation relief. Must be available to work any shift.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications: College degree, or equivalent work experience in related job function.
Preferred Qualifications: Prefer more than 5 years of experience in related job function. Prior supervisory experience and experience in plywood manufacturing or other wood products industry preferred. The successful candidate will have strong technical and communication skills; be able to understand and apply mathematical calculations and concepts involving fractions, decimals, percentages, etc; be able to edit and proofread written material to assist in composing the format and content of correspondence and technical documents; apply proper punctuation, spelling, and grammar when proofreading; research and prepare basic reports and correspondence in routine administrative areas; be proficient in the use of various computer software programs including all MS Office applications.
