Position: Sonographer (OB/GYN) Reports To: Regional Clinical Manager Summary: The Sonographer will function as a healthcare provider who, working under the delegated authority of the supervising physician, serve as a medical imaging professional who provides clinically relevant information to assist the physician with the diagnosis and treatment of patients. Primary Responsibilities/Duties (include but are not limited to): Scans Routinely Performed: Early OB's, viability and dating Fetal anatomy scans Follow up anatomy scans Follow up growth, 2nd/3rd trimester BPP's NT's Pelvic ultrasound/3D imaging of endo Calibrate, maintain, and control all ultrasound equipment Thoroughly explain the examination procedures to patients in a friendly, comforting manner Perform scanning test/functions according to ordering physician's requisition Notify physicians of any abnormalities or concerns immediately Execute protocols established by the Practice Manager and other physicians consistently Billing Administration Set up and clean all scanning equipment and work area prior to seeing first patient Maintain an adequate amount of essential supplies at all times by placing orders accordingly Assist the Clinical Manager in completing the clinical QC report on a quarterly basis Attend new equipment or procedural training sessions to improve scanning skills Assist with fielding technical and troubleshooting inquiries from other Managers and/or Sonographers Troubleshoot any equipment/software issues and reporting any issues to the Operations Coordinator in a timely matter
