```Duties```
- Perform diagnostic sonographic examinations using ultrasound equipment.
- Obtain and record patient history and clinical data relevant to the ultrasound examination being performed.
- Evaluate the images for technical quality, ensuring proper identification is recorded.
- Analyze sonograms, synthesizing information and medical history to facilitate diagnostic interpretation.
- Communicate findings to the appropriate healthcare provider.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
- Follow established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety standards.
- Assist with the daily operations of the ultrasound department, including scheduling, equipment maintenance, and inventory management.
```Requirements```
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field.
- Current certification as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or registry eligible.
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
- Proficient in performing diagnostic evaluations using sonography equipment.
- Familiarity with vital signs monitoring and cardiac catheterization procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately interpret sonograms.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare providers.
- Ability to maintain aseptic technique during procedures.
- Willingness to stay updated on advancements in the field through continuing education.
