Summary:
Conducts diagnostic ultrasound scans on patients using ultrasound equipment as per physician's orders and established policies. Evaluates anatomy and pathophysiology using ultrasound for adult and pediatric patients.
Qualifications:
- Education: Enrolled in or a graduate of an allied health program. Preferably, holds an associate's degree in allied health, applied science, or has completed a certificate program.
- Experience: Previous experience in sonography/ultrasound is advantageous.
- Certifications, Licenses and Registrations: Must be a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certified by ARDMS or eligible to take the RDMS exam and obtain certification within 6 months of employment. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
