The LEx Digital Learning is responsible for being a strategic and trusted advisor to the J&J Innovative Medicine Commercial Sales Learning teams. In this role, you will contribute to the creation of outstanding Learning Experiences utilizing your technology and design expertise to support performance and drive business outcomes that serve our patients. You will utilize current learning technology tools from J&J Innovative Medicine’s existing learning ecosystem (e.g., Janssen Learn—an experience design platform/Light LMS, Summit—Cornerstone on Demand LMS, and Axonify—a gaming platform) and be prepared to do the same in a modern learning J&J Enterprise Learning ecosystem that includes: Xyleme and Edcast. You will architect learner experiences that are simple, intuitive, instructionally sound, and engaging that are aligned to business strategies.

In this role, you will collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) within the business and work closely with fellow Learning Experience Excellence (LEx) team members to provide guidance to business partners encompassing both Digital Learning strategy and Learning Experience/design, resulting in a comprehensive, end user-centric learning solution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with external vendors to provide technical specifications, share timeline considerations, and recommend available technologies in the J&J learning ecosystem and how they can be best utilized by our Therapeutic Area and/or Key Business Function partners to meet the needs of a modern learner.
  • Enable Digital Learning system strategies, ensure they are aligned with J&J Innovative Medicine Commercial Sales Learning leadership priorities, drive the established learning portfolio roadmap, and serve as the product owner and subject matter expert for applicable systems
  • Serve as a product owner for various learning technologies, proactively identify business requirements for innovative learning technology solutions that will improve the user experience, reduce cost, and increase efficiency/effectiveness of service delivery
  • Utilize deep administrative and business insights, partnerships with members of the LEx team, IT, the Vendor, and local Therapeutic Areas (TAs)/groups to craft a strategy that advises on governance, process improvements, enhancements, and ongoing maintenance of the learning technology
  • Collaborate with an analyst that will be responsible for managing users, creating content, loading materials and testing learning assets to ensure flawless execution in accordance with established LEx processes

This individual should be skilled in project management, learning technology, analytics and have a track record of leadership in a high-energy, dynamic environment. Handling multiple projects and balancing stakeholder requests simultaneously is critical. Success requires the individual to be a self-starter, skilled communicator, and dot-connector that is solution oriented, creative and customer focused. 

Qualifications

Education:

  • A minimum of a BA or BS degree in Learning and Development, Technology, UI/UX, Business, Marketing, or another relevant field; Advanced degree in a related field is preferred

Experience and Skills:

Required:

  • 7-9 years’ minimum experience working within large companies and within sales training/enablement organizations or at an agency supporting large companies.
  • Solid understanding and demonstrated application of L&D processes and platforms such as an LMS, LXP, CMS, and gaming platforms, or have related experience administering other technology platforms so that we can evolve our offerings
  • Strong appreciation and understanding of learning data and how it impacts design, implementation of learning solutions (permissions, content deployment, security, metrics, etc) and ensure user experiences that are in support of learning initiatives.
  • Experience managing SaaS learning platforms as business product owner, including vendor management, partnering with IT resources, developing system training, and maintaining a well-organized technology environment
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate complex concepts with diverse stakeholders clearly and succinctly to ensure goals are clear and the learning technology vision is aligned with business objectives
  • Strong understanding of how learning design and technology solutions fit together into a comprehensive learning strategy/approach.
  • Superior collaboration skills: ability to build positive relationships with peers, leaders, and internal stakeholders in the business groups as well as external third-party vendors/providers
  • Strong analytical skills and well versed in Excel or other Learning Analytics platforms is a plus
  • Serve as a trusted advisor that partners with a variety of individuals to secure insights and offer recommendations to execute on projects
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing business needs and priorities. Should be comfortable working within an ambiguous and complex environment while demonstrating resourcefulness and intellectual curiosity
  • Strong project management skill set with the ability to manage multiple streams of work with multiple clients simultaneously and successfully
  • Leverage rapid, agile development techniques, mindset, and processes
  • Independently lead, shape, and implement process improvement efforts both with the team and across the organization. Possess the ability to lead others through change
  • An inclusive leader who fosters a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • Experience recruiting, leading, and coaching.
  • Strong proficiency with MS Excel, PPT, Visio with general proficiency with Office 365 and SharePoint (or other similar collaboration tools)

Preferred:

  • Working in Life Sciences (commercial side) and/or other regulated industry is strongly preferred

The base pay range for this position is $118,000 to $203,550. The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
