Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Sonographer to join our medical team. As a Sonographer, you will play a crucial role in providing accurate and high-quality diagnostic imaging services. You will perform ultrasound scans, interpret the results, and collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities:
1. Perform Ultrasound Examinations: Conduct various ultrasound scans such as abdominal, thyroid, renal, prostate (transabdominal), breast, carotid, scrotum, venous and arterial duplex ultrasound and pelvic (transabdominal) using advanced equipment and techniques, ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout the procedure.
2. Image Acquisition and Analysis: Skillfully operate ultrasound equipment to obtain high-quality images of various organs. Analyze and interpret the acquired images to identify any abnormalities.
3. Patient Care and Communication: Communicate effectively with patients, explaining the procedure, addressing their concerns, and ensuring their comfort and emotional well-being. Obtain relevant medical history and clinical information.
4. Collaboration with Medical Team: Collaborate closely with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to review and discuss ultrasound findings, contributing to the overall diagnostic process and patient management.
5. Documentation and Reporting: Accurately document all ultrasound procedures, patient information, and findings in the medical records system. Generate detailed reports with clear and concise descriptions of ultrasound findings.
6. Quality Assurance and Equipment Maintenance: Maintain strict adherence to quality control standards and protocols to ensure accurate and reliable ultrasound imaging. Perform routine maintenance and calibration of ultrasound equipment, troubleshooting any technical issues and reporting malfunctions.
7. Compliance and Safety: Comply with all relevant regulations, guidelines, and policies related to patient safety, privacy, and confidentiality. Adhere to infection control practices and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
8. Professional Development: Stay updated with the latest advancements in breast ultrasound technology, techniques, and research. Participate in continuing education programs and workshops to enhance knowledge and skills.
Qualifications:
1. Education and Certification: Possess a degree or diploma in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field. Hold certification as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) with a certificate in breast sonography.
2. Experience: Have a minimum of [2] years of experience as a Breast Ultrasound Technician, with a proven track record of conducting breast ultrasound examinations and interpreting images accurately.
3. Technical Skills: Proficient in operating ultrasound equipment and related software. Possess a strong understanding of breast anatomy, physiology, and pathology. Familiarity with an automated whole breast ultrasound imaging is a plus.
4. Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact compassionately and effectively with patients and healthcare professionals. Strong attention to detail and active listening skills are essential.
5. Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving: Ability to think critically, analyze complex ultrasound images, and identify potential abnormalities or areas of concern. Possess effective problem-solving skills to troubleshoot technical issues and assist in the decision-making process.
6. Ethics and Professionalism: Demonstrate a high level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct. Uphold patient confidentiality and privacy at all times.
7. Teamwork and Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment, fostering collaboration and open communication with colleagues and physicians.
8. Physical Stamina: Capable of standing for long periods, maneuvering equipment, and assisting patients who may require physical assistance.

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
