About the Role
We are poised for significant customer and deployment growth entering 2023 and are looking for a Solutions Technician to join our Solutions team. In this technical role, you will engage closely with customers during post-sales planning, factory acceptance testing (FAT), deployment, training, commissioning, and site acceptance testing (SAT). This will require a good amount of travel (average 50%), both domestically and internationally. You will have an active role in refining and improving the team’s practices and procedures. When not on deployment, hybrid work is an option after an initial in-person training period.
Main responsibilities will include:
- Work directly with our customers to develop and execute validation and integration plans for our inspection solutions into their battery cell production environments
- Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support to our customers
- Enable seamless integration by engaging with vendors who provide production equipment, conveyance systems, automation solutions, etc. to our mutual customers
- Train customers in the use of Liminal solutions
- Develop strong product expertise across both software and hardware components of our solutions and products
- Develop best practices and procedures for the Solutions team, with support from the Liminal product, engineering, & business development teams
- Provide customer feedback to the Product and Engineering teams as needed
Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- 2 years of relevant experience supporting and/or integrating enterprise products, preferably in an industrial / manufacturing environment
- Hands-on experience with industrial automation equipment (PLCs, Industrial PCs, controllers)
- Basic familiarity with Python programming and Linux shell environments
- Willing & able to travel to customer sites, domestically and internationally, on a regular basis (50%)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in teams and independently with minimal supervision.
- Curiosity about how things work and tenacity at tinkering and learning new things.
- A coachable attitude and a strong desire to improve yourself and others around you.
Nice-to-haves:
- Experience with manufacturing inspection / metrology / quality control products
- Associate degree or undergraduate degree in engineering or applied sciences
- Familiarity with battery technology and/or manufacturing
- Fluency in Korean, German, French, Mandarin, or Japanese would be a bonus
