GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:
PAY RANGE: $25 - $38 Hourly DOE
We are seeking a skilled Electronic Security Systems Technician to join our team. In this role you will be responsible for managing all tasks associated to the installation, programming/commissioning, and subsequent maintenance of Access Control, CCTV, Intrusion Detection systems, Fire and Life/Safety systems. The Security System Technician must be able to independently install, program, troubleshoot and perform maintenance on the various mid-size and large security systems. He/She will need to communicate effectively with the customers and must have good technical, professional, and customer service skills.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Able to install and program of Commercial Security and Fire Alarm systems (Analog, IP, video Products, Access Controls and Alarm Systems)
- 5+ years Commercial Security field installation and service experience preferred
- Must have experience with servicing and troubleshooting electronic security systems
- Possess solid network knowledge - Network hardware / rack setup, programming IP addresses, port forwarding, troubleshooting network connections
- Possess hardware and software experience with the following Electronic Security systems: Avigilon, OpenPath, Honeywell WinPak & ProWatch, PDK, Kantech, Milestone, HIKvision, Exacqvision, Aiphone, Honeywell Vista and Bosch Intrusion systems including Alarmnet and Telguard programming
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- System Commissioning: Install and commission new security system at customer sites, ensuring their proper setup and functionality
- Documentation and Communication: Thoroughly document commissioning or service details and effectively communicate deficiencies and job progress to field manager
- Testing and Inspection: Perform thorough testing and inspections on security systems under customer maintenance agreements to maintain peak operation
- Troubleshooting and Repairs: Respond promptly to system issues, conducting troubleshooting and executing repairs to restore optimal system functionality.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure work meets installation and quality standard

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing a ladder, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 60 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.
- Capable of performing physical labor which include carrying and moving equipment and tools as required and lifting up to 75 lbs.
- Must be able to drive a motor vehicle while seated for extended periods, and be able to drive at night.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to high, precarious places and outside weather conditions.
- The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold, extreme heat, and risk of electrical shock.
- The employee is required to be available to work on weekends, holidays and after 5 p.m. as needed
- Maintain the appropriate basic hand tools necessary to perform required duties
EDUCATION AND REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Five (5) years minimum commercial alarm / security industry installation experience.
- Possess a valid driver’s license and a good driving record is required.
- Able to pass a pre-employment background and drug test.
- Able to obtain and retain any licenses that are required by National, State and Local Authorities
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
