Job Summary -
Responsible for promoting the use of industry and Company technology standards. As a Solutions Engineer, you combine your telecommunications expertise and understanding of company needs to develop projects and improvements. Stays abreast of current and emerging technologies/technological practices to assist in the strategic decisions of the company and Commercial Business. Designs and develops infrastructure and solutions in support of business processes, expansion, strategic sales and support of the commercial business. You exercise judgment to resolve network issues by researching and implementing the appropriate technology solution. You leverage assets and develop creative solutions by working with project owners and applicable teams. You focus on driving projects, including facilitating information and driving the decision processes.
Duties and Responsibilities -

• Provide technical solutions to architectural, development and operational teams on assigned projects to ensure accurate and on-time project completion.

• Monitors current and future trends, technology, and processes. Evangelize ideas on improving the commercial business processes and drive adoption to stay current and competitive with the industry.
• Identify and create success measures for proof-of-concept/proof-of-value activities.
• Drive technical solutions by following technology strategies and standards, roadmaps and practices.
• Deliver complete solutions utilizing the company's application systems, components, and infrastructure.
• Define detailed requirements and goals for all aspects of a project and manage their proper execution.
• Understand possible project challenges on constraints including, risks, time, resources and scope.
• Collaborate with business and technical teams regarding conflicts and gaps between functional goals and existing capabilities.

• Tracks and documents requirements for enterprise development projects and enhancements.
• Present solutions to Sales Engineering, Solutions Architecture, and business leaders.

• Work with Sales Engineering and Account Teams on complex customer engagements
• Review current technologies used within the company and propose product updates to align with industry and customer requirements.

• Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights, weekends, and variable schedule(s) as necessary to deliver complex projects.

• Provide detailed specifications for proposed solutions
• Work closely with project management teams to successfully monitor progress of initiatives
• Provide UCaaS / VoIP technical solutions to architectural, development and operational teams on assigned projects to ensure accurate and on-time project completion.

Requirements/Qualifications for the Solution Engineer

• Familiarity with business analysis techniques and processes
• 5-7 years experience working in a Telecom, Cableco (ideally), or IT environment
• Appropriate certifications to support the role is highly desired (MSCE Productivity, CCIE Collaboration., Metaswitch Certified Technician (MCT), etc.)
• Understanding in cloud-based Unified Communications (UC) products (Metaswitch, MS Teams, RingCentral, etc.)
• Experience and understanding of computer hardware, software, and operating systems.
• Bachelor degree or comparable experience in Telecommunications, Networking, Cloud or Computer Science
• Google GSuite and Microsoft Office experience
• This role requires residency in or near one of the specified locations and offers a hybrid work from home environment, but you could be required to be in the office as needed depending on location. Minimal travel may be required to meet with vendors, account teams, and department meetings

The base salary range in California for this position is $110,000 - $131,000, opportunities for bonus, benefits and commission, if applicable. The base pay range represents the low and high end of the hiring range for this job. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to relevant skills, experience, and capabilities. It is specific to California and may not be applicable to other locations.

• Targeted Bonus: $2,000-$14,000 quarterly - Our sales total compensation offers the potential for significant upside above targeted earnings for those who overachieve their sales targets.
