Working in a brand-new Agile Organization, you will be part of Global Solution Product Management team responsible for product strategy and the future Solutions offering development. In this role you will work in an Agile Team, you will be a key player in bringing the customer voice into the ABB organization, leading the efforts to understand the requirements of the industry, specific market segments and manage the portfolio to meet external and internal requirements.
This position reports to the Solution Product Management Chapter Leader in Industry & Control Agile Unit.
Location: Global, with a preference for Bergamo (Italy) and Heidelberg (Germany)
Your responsibilities
- Analyze and understand market trends and customers’ requirements in specific segments for Industry and Machinery Control applications, to provide comprehensive Solution according to their needs.
- Identify new business opportunities and create business cases for Solutions, in terms of both offering and channel to market.
- Coordinate solutions development plans and launches and ensures efficient and effective execution together with the Local Sales Units.
- Carry the customer’s voice in the organization and support operational functions with Product Management activities.
- Constantly align with Agile Units, sales and channels on topics related to the portfolio, such as new products/system availability, market movements, competition, and information related to the operations.
- Follow up business performance in a regular manner for the assigned area and drive improvement actions.
- Support Marketing communication team with appropriated content and documentation for promotional and marketing communication activities.
- Maintain and follow annual cycle of activities to govern Product Management for assigned products or services.
Your background
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification, preferably in electrical engineering, and a minimum of 5 Years’ experience in Product Management or similar roles in the field of low voltage products and solutions.
- Deep knowledge of Industry and Control products portfolio (Motor starting and protection, Control and Monitoring, Machine Safety), relevant application segments (e.g. Control Panels for W&WW and Machinery OEMs; MCC,…) and digital ecosystems.
- Interest to learn and understand the needs along all phase of the customer journey and derive relevant improvements actions.
- Strong customer focus and solid stakeholders’ management skills together with a result-oriented mindset.
- Systemic thinking, willingness to bring innovation and self-improvement attitude.
- Availability for business travel (approx. 30%); fluent verbal and written skills in English and ability to work as part of a cross-functional and global team.
- Proficiency in other languages is a plus; previous work experience in agile environments is an added value.
