Solta is looking for an accomplished, consistent and driven high performer with a proven commercial track record to lead its North America commercial organization.

 

The Vice President ofSales/Marketing & General Management will provide leadership, strategic direction, and overall management of the ensure revenue, market share and profitability objectives are met. The role includes full P&L responsibility with leadership and oversight for sales, marketing, customer services, professional education, and sales training teams for both the US and Canada.

 

This position leads the development of annual operating plans for US and Canada, delivery of topline sales and development of revenue and expense forecasts. The GM / VP will partner across cross functional teams to develop and implement strategies to maximize both revenue and EBITA.

Responsibilities:

SALES & MARKETING LEADERSHIP: Provide leadership in development of selling strategies, achievement of total US and Canada sales forecasts and operational budgets; create effective sales execution plans, targeting and tactics in collaboration with commercial teams to provide optimal financial returns; identifying and turning consumer/brand insights into actionable programs that have a beneficial impact on the growth of the business. Leads the relationship management with partner companies and manages agreements and partnerships.

 

ORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENT: Responsibilities include the development of strategic operating structures, priorities and selling platforms. The GM / VP will be responsible for developing and sustaining a high performing organization through active recruitment of high potential management talent, coaching and mentoring of managers, and for the development of high potential sales reps.  Also responsible for creating a positive culture of trust, accountability, transparency, and fun. 

 

STRATEGIC CUSTOMER FOCUS: Build a network of customer and industry contacts to facilitate sales development and successes; attend conferences to maximize the customer experience; maintain current knowledge of market and competitive trends. Lead cross-functional teams to provide ideas and insights on new products, market trends and data analysis and develop and implement key strategic business plans from both a supply and sales perspective.

  • Strong analytical skills including the ability to leverage complex data to forge effective sales plans.
  • Proven success working independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Experience developing productive customer relationships and engaging with senior leadership as well as key opinion leaders.
  • Strong understanding of the medical device market, including key trends, customer needs, and regulatory requirements.
  • Thorough understanding of healthcare market insights and experience in aligning market segmentation, target market sizing with product validation stages and go to market strategies

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required. MBA preferred.
  • Proven track record of at least 10 years within the medical device industry with at least 5 years of sales leadership experience.
  • At least 7 years of direct people management experience with demonstrated abilities for problem solving, creativity, working as a key member of a management team, P&L management, and motivating/guiding employees to meet division objectives.
