As a Solid Waste Site Supervisor, you will coordinate the operation and maintenance of inactive Solid Waste landfill and burn sites, ensuring projects and staff are operating within appropriate safety guidelines, operating heavy and other construction equipment and directing the work of subordinate staff. HIRING TIMELINE & DATES
- Job Offer and Background Process begin the week of May 6, 2024. Note: Current County employees may be excluded from additional background screening.
- Pre-employment Medical Screening: Approximately 3 days following successful background investigation results.
- Anticipated Start Date: Start date will be based upon successful completion of medical screening or other mutually agreed upon date.
Three (3) years of experience at the level of Senior Equipment Operator in the County of San Diego; OR equivalent experience operating heavy equipment in construction and maintenance work in sanitary landfills.

EVALUATION
Qualified applicants will be placed on a six (6) month employment list based on scores received during the evaluation of information contained in their employment and supplemental applications.
