Position Description


QIAGEN Clinical Insight (QCI) Interpret is an evidence-based Decision Support software, which is based on the largest curated knowledgebase, and is intended as an aid in the interpretation of genetic variants observed in somatic and hereditary genetic testing.

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Software Implementation Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the successful customer implementation and onboarding of QCI Interpret Clinical Decision Support software. This role requires a strong technical background in software and genetics, ability to manage multiple projects, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with both internal teams and external stakeholders.

This is a full-time, home office (field) based role.

Responsibilities:

  • Project manage and lead multiple customer on-boarding projects in parallel.
  • Schedule and lead customer meetings with relevant stakeholders.
  • Gather necessary customer requirements to configure QCI Interpret implementation.
  • Work with the customer and internal team to align on client specifications of their clinical report.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that arise during implementation.
  • Work across internal teams to ensure successful integration with client systems.
  • Track progress and keep detailed notes through project completion of each onboarding project.
  • Improve processes, SOPs, and information organization as necessary.

Position Requirements

  • Master’s degree, or bachelor’s degree with commensurate experience, in genetics or related field.
  • Customer-facing experience highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated project management skills.
  • Knowledge and practical experience with bioinformatics.
  • Familiarity with XML, JSON, Python, HTML a plus.
  • Proven experience in Software Implementation or a similar technical role.
  • Strong knowledge of software development methodologies and best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with project management tools and methodologies is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with JIRA a plus.

Personal Requirements

  • Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Must be able to stay focused on work, free of distractions, in a home office environment.

The estimated base salary range for this position is $100,000 - $120,000. Compensation will be based on the candidate’s experience, skills, geographic location, and other job-related factors. In addition to base salary, we offer a total compensation package that includes annual performance bonus and generous benefits.
