Position Overview:

This role is responsible for working alongside senior developers and system engineers to produce software that interfaces directly or indirectly with avionics hardware. Engineers in this role will benefit greatly from having a systems engineering background to help them understand the different software and hardware components required to support customers. Engineers in this role are expected to be able to complete entry-level software tasks assigned by senior software and systems engineers, and actively and articulately communicate with other team members.

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Full-stack web application development (Python + Flask, PostgreSQL, JS) 

  • Supporting aircraft communications using ground-to-air and air-to-ground software applications 

  • Object-oriented programming (C++ primarily) 

  • Avionics integration, which often requires reading manuals/schematics 

  • Testing and evaluating software, (unit tests, CI/CD, and/or by hand) 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline

  • Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident "Green Card" holder

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite.  Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home).  An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.

Must be a commutable distance from Annapolis, MD to work a hybrid schedule reporting on-site as needed.
