SalaryThis internship is designed to provide undergraduate students with real-world experience in Software Engineering. Interns who participate in this program will develop essential skills that are not attained in the academic world and enable them to make the transition from academic to professional life. Interns will provide Software Engineering and data analytics support to JBS International.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Collaborate with software engineers to design and develop new software features.
- Participate in the implementation and testing of software solutions.
- Engage in code reviews to ensure high-quality code and improve coding standards.
- Attend team meetings and contribute to software project planning and discussions.
PROJECT SPECIFIC DUTIES:
- Collaborate with software engineers to develop and integrate machine learning models into existing applications.
- Assist in the creation of a training program focused on machine learning and large language models (LLMs).
- Debug and troubleshoot software issues, providing timely solutions.
- Document and maintain software projects to ensure clarity and consistency.

- Programming Skills: Proficiency in at least one of Python, Java, SQL, or C++.

- Attention to Detail: Precision in coding and documenting software projects.
- Adaptability: Ability to learn new technologies and adapt to changing project requirements.
MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Junior or Senior college student pursuing a bachelor's degree in computer science, or similar discipline.
Language: English fluency (oral and written)
Experience: Previous experience in course-level projects or other internships
Knowledge: Software engineering, technical writing, graphical user interfaces, data structures, and/or algorithm development.
Soft Skills: Must be able to organize, track and complete multiple tasks during the workday as priorities change. Key qualifications include initiative, organizational skills, ability to work well in a team, and strong communication skills (oral and written). A high level of attention to detail.
