We call ourselves Watchers. Our team is responsible for developing monitoring tools that let our customers sleep well at night. If you are an Admin responsible for backups, you probably want to know if your backups are running as configured, and get notified if things break. That's where our products come in - we build reports, and dashboards. Without us, Rubrik would be a blackbox.
As a member of Watchers team, you'll get to build monitoring features and frameworks that operate on mounts of data Rubrik products produce. You'll work cross functionally to understand reporting requirements of the new features, and build frameworks that enable monitoring needs of our most sophisticated customers.
What You'll Do:
- You'll design, implement, and evolve critical large scale distributed system, collecting, handling and analyzing data from thousands of clusters
- You'll work on new reporting and dashboard features and frameworks, processing and visualizing live and historical data, audit and other operational events
- You'll help us find bottlenecks, improve resiliency, scalability and availability
- You'll be a role model and a mentor to junior team members and help them become well rounded engineers
- 3-5 years of backend or fullstack software development experience
Experience You'll Need:
- BS/BA degree in Computer Science, similar technical field of study or equivalent practical experience.
- Work with other engineers to architect, build, and test new features
- Participate in code reviews and test designs
- Identify and resolve performance and capacity issues
- Experience in Software Development in one or more general purpose programming languages including but not limited to Go, Java, Python, or Scala
- Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals
- Collaborate cross functionality with infrastructure, support, and other Software Engineering teams
- Excellent communication skills, including ability to write technical docs and present ideas
