The Player Experiences and Platforms engineering team is looking for a Software Engineer II to help us build Game Pass experiences and bring new end-to-end features to the Xbox app for PC.
In your role, you will work with a diverse team of engineers, defining end-to-end user experiences, architecture, performance targets, and technology investments to help drive subscriber engagement and growth in the PC ecosystem. We’re using React Native on Windows to enable cross-product code-sharing. We're looking for Software Engineer II to drive features and infrastructure within that stack.
Your experience will enable our teams to be efficient and effective when developing new features. You will be working closely with your engineering team, product management, and design. As a Software Engineer II, you will contribute to projects with execution and partner with individuals on your team, providing a positive environment for technical and career growth.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C++, C#, or JavaScript
OR equivalent experience
- 2+ years of professional software development experience building end-user applications
- 2+ years of design and coding skills in JavaScript or C++
- 2+ years of experience shipping consumer features and track record of driving code design for multiple feature areas
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C++, C#, or JavaScript
OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C++, C#, or JavaScript
OR equivalent experience.
- Experience building subscription or gaming-related user experiences on PC or Mobile
- ReactJS or React Native Windows development experience
Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $94,300 - $182,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $120,900 - $198,600 per year.
