Job description

The purpose of the Software Engineer Systems Analyst position is to specify and shape the system requirements and operations for the enterprise-wide credit union systems. This role would generally not have budgetary responsibility, but decisions may affect the services or products. This role requires regular analysis of data and the ability to meet interpersonal, analytical and organizational demands.


With moderate discretion, the key responsibilities of the Software Engineer Systems Analyst include the analysis and implementation of the credit union's IT solutions, provides administration and information security and supports business units with systems and/or equipment issues. This role will ensure business continuity and will serve as a primary role in restoring systems as well as coordinating support as directed in the event of a disaster. Working under limited supervision, the problems encountered are somewhat complex and may require analysis of data. Finally, the role will require normal courtesy, tact and diplomacy, which involves much personal contact with others.

This is a hybrid opportunity that will require you to be in office at our headquarters (Enola, PA) 2-3 days per week. The position may require in-person training.

EDUCATION:

  • General and business knowledge equivalent to a bachelor's degree

EXPERIENCE:

  • 1-2 years of professional hands-on experience in imaging and/or information systems

SKILLS:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Advanced diagnostic skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Skilled in SQL, HTML and scripting languages.
  • Works very closely with the software engineering team to develop associated quality business requirements documents to enable the accomplishment of desired results.
  • Works with business stakeholders associated subject-matter experts in defining and creating a technical roadmap for desired business process improvements

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing
  • Visually able to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, viewing a computer terminal, and extensive reading
  • Ability to sit for extended time periods
  • Sufficient manual skill for operation of PC keyboard and other standard office equipment
  • Ability to travel, including occasional overnight travel
  • Ability to exert minimum amounts of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull or move objects
