JOB OVERVIEW:
The Software Engineer is a hands-on Software Engineer with experience in developing scalable software products, at ease working in an agile environment. The Software Engineer works amongst a team of Engineers, bringing fresh ideas from all areas, including information retrieval, large- and small-scale system design, networking and data storage, UI design and mobile.
This employee’s job duties require access to covered information. The employee is subject to additional screening. This designation shall be reviewed at least annually.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Aid in the design, development, testing, and support of a Windows and Web applications built using the .NET Framework C#/WPF, ASP.NET/ MVC)
- Provide ongoing maintenance, support, and enhance for existing systems and platforms.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with business analysts, project managers and other engineers to achieve elegant solutions.
- Provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Work alongside other engineers on the team to elevate technology and consistently apply best practices.
- Work closely with Product Managers to define, prototype, and test experiences with real users to discover what experiences users value the most and how to improve the experiences to provide more value to users.
- Plan and prioritize feature development with Engineers, Program Managers, product managers and UX
- Analyze, design, and develop tests and test-automation suit

KNOWLEDGED, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Strong technical knowledge of WPF development- WPF controls, styles and templates a plus
- Web development experience using ASP.Net MVC, TypeScript or JavaScript
- Interest and ability to learn other coding languages and methodologies as needed.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Education: BE, BS or MS in Computer Science is required
- 5-10 years of experience in Windows software development
- Proven experience developing high-performance, multi-threaded, enterprise grade applications with Microsoft .NET
- Experience with Telerik UI a big plus
- Database experience, including the development of T-SQL queries, PLSQL to serve the data-layer of an application.
- Experience with test-driven development, behavior-driven development, and automated testing frameworks.
