Role Summary
This position reports directly to the Logistics Manager and is responsible for the general and specific job duties as described below:

Specific Job Duties:
• Provide mentoring and leadership for the Software Development group to ensure continuous improvement is embraced and the departmental goals and objectives are met.
• Work with other departments to define, develop, and implement custom programming solutions.
• Support users who have questions regarding applications.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results in a timely fashion.
• Support manufacturing execution systems, data collection, reporting, administrative, and other applications.
• Continuously improve the accuracy of transactional information and track the measurable improvement for reporting back to the management team.
• Work with the Network Administrators to ensure a robust architecture exists that will facilitate growth of new applications.
• Manage suppliers of software and consultation support to ensure our systems meet the needs of while performing at their fullest potential.
• Collaborate with Corporate IT and other Magna divisions to assist in brainstorming, share best practices, etc.
• Ensure that all accidents are properly reported, and accident investigations are completed within 24 hours.
• Perform other duties as required.

Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in a technical field of study required, or equivalent experience.

Work in a safe manner at all times and report any unsafe conditions to your supervisor in order that the situation can be corrected. Report all accidents and near misses in a timely manner when they occur.

Key Qualifications/Requirements
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in a technical field of study required, or equivalent experience.
Related Work Experience
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
- Extensive knowledge of the Software Development life cycle.
- Ability to clearly document software design and implementation using appropriate tools.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience with custom MES development and implementation, preferably within automotive related paint and injection molding processes.
- Minimum of 10 years' experience with SQL database design and development, both on prem and cloud-based (Azure preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years' experience sequencing MES, Solidat preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience with QAD ERP applications in a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience with bar code scanners and printers.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience with HTML, ASP, ASP.NET, .NET, T-SQL, and C#.
