Your Opportunity
As a Software Development Intern - Network Automation, you will work on various aspects of the Software Development lifecycle in a highly agile environment. This role involves developing automation solutions to work with existing cloud and on-premises network technologies, while actively participating in all phases of Software Development including design, development, deployment, and maintenance.

What You’ll Do
- Contribute to creation and implementation of automation solutions to work with existing cloud (AWS) and on-premises network technologies.
- Contribute to the implementation, testing, delivery, and operation of EBSCO's Platform as a service and Infrastructure as a Service.
- Contribute to software engineering best practices for design, coding standards, performance, test automation, security, delivery, maintainability, and culture.
- Perform software enhancements of commercial off the shelf applications.
- Work alongside other software engineers to elevate technology and consistently apply best practices for design, coding standards, performance, security, delivery, and maintainability.
- Address technical debt issues identified.
- Maintain thorough documentation related to their work.
- Live the principles behind the Agile Manifesto and SAFe framework in all interactions.
What Sets you apart
- Working toward a bachelor's degree in a computer science field or related experience.
- Basic AWS Cloud Networking knowledge
- Basic Networking technology knowledge (TCP/IP, Routing) and understanding of network firewalls and security concepts.
- Basic knowledge of Software Design, Programming, and Data Structures.
- Experience with programming languages such as Python and Infrastructure-as-code tool Terraform.
- Experience building software applications as a personal hobby, as part of an open-source project.
- Experience with source code management tools such as GitHub
