Job Summary:
Raytheon is looking for a Data Systems Software Application Engineer to support exciting projects. Requires travel to customer sites on a periodic basis.

• This position is an onsite role - Pasadena, California

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

• Develop data processing software for a special studies ground team to implement in a U.S. Government enterprise architecture.
• Package and deliver integrated SW builds into Docker images and deploy the images into the U.S. Government enterprise architecture.
• Responsible for all stages of the software product life cycle - planning, analyzing, coding, designing, integrating, testing, deploying, and providing support for production.
• Define software use-cases, requirements, and interfaces.

Basic Qualifications:
Typically requires a Bachelor's in science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 2 years of prior engineering experience or equivalent experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.

• Experience developing with one or more of the following technologies (Python, C/C++, MATLAB, Shell/Bash).
• Software development experience in team environment using software configuration management software.
• Cloud Solutions (Amazon Web Services (AWS)) and CI/CD Pipeline.
• Experienced with software support resources for version control, issue tracking, collaboration, automation, containerization, document generation (JIRA, GIT, Artifactory, Confluence, Jenkins, Docker, Sphinx).
• An active and in-scope TS/SCI U.S. security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

• JPL, NASA, or DoD practices and standards
• Knowledgeable of software languages (XML, JSON, Java, CUDA, Markup)
• Establish and follow an enterprise framework for all phases of Software Development: requirements, design, development, integration, testing, and delivery.
• Understands data file formats and image processing software and instruments.
• Familiar with software code analyzers/audit tools (Coverity, Semmle.)
• Experienced with utilizing mathematical models and algorithms related to image chain processing.
• Learn new software skills as needed to perform project tasks and work in a complex multi-task, schedule-driven environment with initiative to perform effectively with minimal day-to-day oversight.

• Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 70,000 USD - 142,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
