Responsibilities: Job Role and Responsibility: Xilinx, Inc., a subsidiary of AMD, Inc., is hiring MTS Software Development Engineer to Research, design, develop, and/or test operating systems-level software, compilers, and/or network distribution software for semiconductor operations, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis. Deliver software components for solutions for company products. Responsible for the design and delivery of parts of a heterogeneous, multi-core compiler targeting AI Engines for application domains spanning AI/ML, Wireless, DSP, Automotive etc. Develop Reference Designs and Platforms, which include development of application software system code. Integrate software components into domain specific software frameworks for video and multimedia. Develop documentation, demonstrations, and work on solving customer escalations in system software. Deliver compiler tools to support heterogeneous systems consisting of AI Engine processors, ARM/x86 processors, and FPGA/GPU. Utilize expertise with computers and electronics, including computer hardware and software, applications, and programming, as well as knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. Apply knowledge of engineering principles, best practices, and technologies to the design, development, and testing of various company products.

Qualifications: Degree required
Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or related field.
Qualifications: Amount and type of experience required: Three (3) years of experience in the job offered or closely related engineering role.
Alternate combination of education and experience: Employer will accept alternate combination of education and experience: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or related field plus five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in job offered or closely related engineering role.
Specific skills required: The following skills are required:
For either combination of education or experience, position requires three (3) years of experience in the following technologies and/or skills:
- Java, JavaScript, Python, C, or C++;
- Linux, Unix, or real-time operating systems;
- Advanced Algorithms, Data Structures, Mathematical Modeling, or Object-Oriented Design;
- Code Optimization using the GPU or software performance analysis; and
- Git.
