About this role
As a Software Engineer at EverBright, you will be responsible for development of our consumer facing mobile applications which allow homeowners to seamlessly manage their residential solar systems including production tracking as well as their financial relationship with EverBright. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. You will work with others to design and implement scalable and robust software solutions.
What You'll Do
- Contribute to the development of residential solar management and consumer finance tools using React Native.
- Translate existing web application software into mobile applications while maintaining and improving functionality and performance.
- Create and implement simple, efficient and useful user interfaces for enterprise and consumer users, including data visualization, presentation of financial data and documents, and user billing
- Learn about and implement application monitoring and user data collection strategies to optimize product performance and utility.
- Learn about and eventually own our development processes, deployment infrastructure, application monitoring, system testing, and unit test support.
- Collaborate on product requirements refinement and the high-level of software.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, with 1-3 years of experience in Software Development
- Experience with mobile application development
- Experience in contributing to the design and implementation of software solutions, with an interest in financial modeling, sales, or operations platforms
- Proficiency in React Native, experience with development in modern web frameworks, API design, and relational databases.
- Solid problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to develop efficient algorithms and contribute to system performance, scalability, and reliability improvements
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with a desire to work well in cross-functional teams and learn from more experienced peers
- Interest in solar financing, energy efficiency, or renewable energy industries is a plus, as well as a willingness to become familiar with Agile methodologies and project management tools
Job Overview
This position writes and tests software to aid in development and support of products. Individuals in this role work with Technical Leads on software system architecture and module design and typically gains experience acting as the owner of a complete module in the system. This position participates in required product development process ceremonies. Employees in this role are responsible for writing and refining technical requirements and technical design documentation.
