Software Developer

HarmonyTech Inc is seeking a talented and experienced Software Developer to join our dynamic team. As a Software Developer at HarmonyTech, you will play a crucial role in developing and overseeing the implementation of software and hardware-based business solutions. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in solution development, combining commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) or government off-the-shelf (GOTS) products, and extending their functionalities to meet the specified technical and functional requirements.

The position is available in Washington, DC, requires a Public Trust Clearance, and U.S. citizenship.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Solution Architects and Business Analysts to understand and implement overall functional and technical specifications.
• Combine one or more COTS or GOTS products, or extend their standard functionalities to develop comprehensive business solutions.
• Develop custom services, components, or modules using advanced programming languages such as J2EE, .NET, Active Server Pages, or C++.
• Assess, plan, design, develop, test, configure, and deploy technical solutions that effectively address business challenges.
• Translate architectural designs into functional business solutions, leveraging skills in systems design, development, process automation, and technical knowledge.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry best practices to ensure HarmonyTech remains at the forefront of innovation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless integration of software and hardware components.
• Provide technical expertise and support during all phases of the software development life cycle.
• Troubleshoot and debug software applications to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Proficiency in advanced programming languages such as J2EE, .NET, Active Server Pages, or C++.
• Strong understanding of systems design, development, and process automation.
• Experience with integrating and extending COTS or GOTS products.
• Proven ability to translate architectural designs into functional business solutions.
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and emerging technologies.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Required Experience:

• Minimum of six (6) years of relevant solution development experience.

Required Education:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
