Job Description
Our client is a global company in the cable and optical fibre industry and is looking for a Full-time Software Developer to work at thier office located in El Dorado, Arkansas. This opportunity will be onsite, reporting directly to the Senior IT Manager. Relocation will be provided. The Software Developer creates and modifies new and existing software involved in full system life cycle and is responsible for coding, testing, implementing, maintaining and supporting application software.
Responsibilities:
- Designs, builds and maintains efficient, reusable, and reliable Code.
- Creates custom, general use modules and components which extend the elements and modules of current software
- Resolves production support issues, including troubleshooting, root cause analysis, debugging, configuration, and testing
- Provides post implementation support to ensure smooth transition to production of all services released for production
- Designs and develops software applications
- Interfaces with the business, technical staff and vendors to shape requirements and direction of technology and support project related activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field and 3 years of experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Visual Studio Tools
- Knowledge of Microsoft programming tools, C#, ASP, MVC methodology, HTML
- Knowledge and familiarity with Microsoft SQL, Oracle PL/SQL and/or other general SQL skills
- Ability in creating database schemas that represent and support business processes.
- Ability to quickly absorb technical information and become a subject matter expert
- Ability to work independently on assignments given by a project manager/team lead
- Ability to communicate technical and non-technical information in a clear and concise format to project stakeholders
- Knowledge in complete software development life cycle from design through implementation
- Knowledge of creating self-contained, reusable, and testable modules and components
- Knowledge in project planning, project management, & risk management
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to follow complex oral and written instructions
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
- Ability to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
Pay Range: $70,000 - $80,000 annually
